Art is for Everyone

Discover Your Creativity

As an artist, educator, and access advocate, and the owner of Sylvan Art Studio, I believe that experiencing the arts benefits the body and mind and that everyone has the right to access and experience art.

Artist

Capturing essence from scratch

As an artist, I strive to capture the feeling and essence of a place, concept, emotion, or experience. I often work in watercolors, though I consider myself a multi-media artist as I will also work in inks, graphite, colored pencil, and fiber. I love finding out how things work, and where they came from, so I have expanded my practice to encompass pigment sourcing, paint making, bookbinding, and more.

Educator

Experiencing art improves life

With 20+ years of experience, I am passionate about teaching and supporting others to express their creativity and showcase their vision through accessible, supportive teaching approaches. I teach students age three to adult a wide variety of media and subject matter and have taught for many museums and non-profit organizations throughout Massachusetts.

Access Advocate

Art for everyone

My joy-filled approach welcomes individuals of all ages and abilities to experience art in a supportive and empowering atmosphere that celebrates adaptivity, flexibility, and self-discovery. I am happy to teach in group settings, one-on-one, and mixed inclusive classrooms.
